ALX FARRELL is a French-German music project that brings a personal songwriting history into a contemporary pop sound. At its heart are songs driven not by instant impact, but by atmosphere, character and emotional depth — in French and German.

The Story Behind the Project

The origins of ALX FARRELL go back many years. Between the ages of 15 and 19, the first songs and lyrics were written during a period of life closely connected to France.

Many of those early lyrics were initially written in German, yet their imagery, mood and musical longing were distinctly French from the very beginning. Later, songs written directly in French became part of that story as well.

Decades later, an old songbook resurfaced — filled with handwritten lyrics, ideas and fragments from those years. That discovery became the starting point for ALX FARRELL. Not as a nostalgic look back, but as a question: What would these thoughts sound like today?

From an Old Songbook to a New Sound

The songs are not simply reconstructed. They are reimagined, newly produced and translated into a contemporary musical language. Classic songwriting meets modern pop and electronic production, defined by clear melodies, atmospheric soundscapes and current vocal aesthetics — without ever losing the emotional core of the songs.

The result is a creative tension between past and present: the memories remain recognisable, but take on a new form. That tension lies at the heart of ALX FARRELL’s identity.

French. German. And Deliberately In Between.

ALX FARRELL moves naturally between two languages. The French and German songs are not two separate projects, but two perspectives on the same musical world.

The French versions are more than translations. Language, rhythm and expression are shaped individually so that every song feels authentic and complete in its own language.

Releases

The catalogue to date includes Phases, Au revoir, mon ami, Une sur mille, À bras ouverts, Désolée and Sans filtre, alongside the German-language releases Mit offenen Armen, Phasen, Machs gut mein Freund, Reality and Sorry. Not sorry.

Together, these releases reveal different sides of ALX FARRELL — from immediate contemporary pop to more reflective, cinematic storytelling.

The visual world of ALX FARRELL follows an equally distinctive aesthetic: minimalist contemporary imagery, neon light, graphic spaces and a visual language that brings together music, film and fashion.

2026: The Story Continues

Following the singles released so far, the next major chapter is taking shape in 2026. Under the title INFINI, a new project will bring the French and German sides of ALX FARRELL together for the first time on a larger scale.

Which songs — and which new chapters — it will reveal remains a surprise for now. One thing is certain: INFINI continues the story of the rediscovered songbook — not as an ending, but as a new beginning.

Songs, die nicht auf schnelle Effekte setzen, sondern auf Atmosphäre, Haltung und
emotionale Tiefe - auf Französisch und Deutsch.

Die Geschichte hinter dem Projekt

Der Ursprung von ALX FARRELL reicht viele Jahre zurück. Im Alter von 15 bis 19 Jahren
entstanden erste Songs und Texte in einer Lebensphase, die eng mit Frankreich verbunden war.
Viele der frühen Texte wurden zunächst auf Deutsch geschrieben - ihre Bilder, ihre Stimmung
und ihre musikalische Sehnsucht waren jedoch von Anfang an französisch geprägt. 

Später kamen auch Songs hinzu, die direkt auf Französisch entstanden.Jahrzehnte später tauchte ein altes Songbook wieder auf: handgeschriebene Texte, Ideen und Fragmente aus dieser Zeit. Dieser Fund wurde zum Ausgangspunkt für ALX FARRELL. Nicht als nostalgischer Blick zurück, sondern als Frage: Wie klingen diese Gedanken heute?

Vom alten Songbook in einen neuen Sound

Die Songs werden nicht einfach rekonstruiert. Sie werden neu gedacht, neu produziert und in
eine zeitgemäße musikalische Sprache übersetzt. Klassisches Songwriting trifft dabei auf
moderne Pop- und elektronische Produktion. 

Charakteristisch sind klare Melodien, atmosphärische Räume und eine Produktion, die mit aktuellen Vocal-Ästhetiken arbeitet - ohne den emotionalen Kern der Songs zu überdecken. So entsteht ein Spannungsfeld zwischen damals und heute: Erinnerungen bleiben erkennbar, bekommen aber eine neue Oberfläche. Genau darin liegt die Identität des Projekts.

Französisch. Deutsch. Und bewusst dazwischen.

ALX FARRELL bewegt sich selbstverständlich zwischen zwei Sprachen. Französische und deutsche Songs stehen nicht für zwei getrennte Projekte, sondern für zwei Perspektiven derselben musikalischen Welt. 

Die französischen Fassungen sind dabei keine bloßen Übersetzungen: Sprache, Rhythmus und Ausdruck werden so entwickelt, dass jeder Song in seiner jeweiligen Sprache eigenständig funktioniert.

Bisherige Veröffentlichungen

Zum bisherigen Repertoire gehören unter anderem Phases, Au revoir, mon ami, Une sur mille, À bras ouverts, Désolée und Sans filtre sowie die deutschsprachigen Titel Mit offenen Armen, Phasen, Machs gut mein Freund, Reality und Sorry. Not sorry.. Die Veröffentlichungen zeigen unterschiedliche Facetten des Projekts - von unmittelbarem Pop bis zu nachdenklicheren, filmisch erzählten Songs.

Auch visuell folgt ALX FARRELL einer klaren Handschrift: reduzierte, moderne Bildwelten, Neonlicht, grafische Räume und ein Stil, der Musik, Film und Mode miteinander verbindet.

2026: Die Geschichte geht weiter

Nach den bisherigen Singles ist für 2026 der nächste größere Schritt vorbereitet. Unter dem Titel INFINI entsteht ein Projekt, das die französische und deutsche Seite von ALX FARRELL erstmals in einem größeren Zusammenhang zusammenführt.

Welche Songs und welche neuen Kapitel darin zu hören sein werden, bleibt vorerst eine Überraschung. Fest steht nur: INFINI führt die Idee des wiederentdeckten Songbooks weiter -nicht als Abschluss, sondern als Fortsetzung.

Un projet musical entre la France, la mémoire et le présent

ALX FARRELL est un projet musical franco-allemand qui fait dialoguer une histoire personnelle d'écriture avec une pop résolument contemporaine. Au cœur du projet : des chansons qui ne cherchent pas l'effet immédiat, mais privilégient l'atmosphère, l'émotion et la profondeur. Des chansons en français et en allemand, portées par une même identité.

L'histoire derrière le projet

L'histoire d'ALX FARRELL commence bien avant ses premières sorties. Entre 15 et 19 ans, ALX écrit ses premières chansons et ses premiers textes, durant une période de sa vie profondément liée à la France. À l'époque, beaucoup de textes naissent en allemand. Mais leurs images, leur sensibilité et leur imaginaire musical sont déjà profondément marqués par la France. 

Plus tard viendront également des chansons écrites directement en français. Puis les années passent. Des décennies plus tard, un ancien songbook refait surface : des pages manuscrites, des paroles, des idées et des fragments de chansons datant de cette époque. Cette redécouverte devient le point de départ d'ALX FARRELL.

D'un vieux songbook à un son d'aujourd'hui

Les chansons ne sont pas simplement restaurées ou reproduites. Elles sont repensées, réinterprétées et transportées dans un univers sonore contemporain. 

L'écriture classique rencontre une production pop moderne et électronique. Mélodies fortes, espaces sonores atmosphériques et traitements vocaux actuels se mêlent sans jamais effacer le cœur émotionnel des chansons. Il en résulte une tension particulière entre hier et aujourd'hui : les souvenirs restent présents, mais prennent une nouvelle forme. 

C'est précisément dans cet espace que se construit l'identité d'ALX FARRELL.

Français. Allemand. Et quelque part entre les deux.

ALX FARRELL évolue naturellement entre deux langues. Les chansons françaises et allemandes ne représentent pas deux projets distincts, mais deux facettes d'un même univers musical. Les versions françaises ne sont d'ailleurs pas de simples traductions : le rythme, les mots, les images et la musicalité sont retravaillés afin que chaque chanson puisse exister pleinement dans sa propre langue.

Les premières sorties

Le répertoire d'ALX FARRELL comprend notamment Phases, Au revoir, mon ami, Une sur mille, À bras ouverts, Désolée et Sans filtre, ainsi que les titres allemands Mit offenen Armen, Phasen, Mach's gut mein Freund, Reality et Sorry. Not sorry.. Ces sorties révèlent les différentes facettes du projet : d'une pop immédiate et lumineuse à des chansons plus intimes, pensées presque comme de petits films. 

Un univers musical... et visuel

Chez ALX FARRELL, l'image ne vient pas simplement accompagner la musique : elle prolonge les chansons et leur donne une dimension supplémentaire.

Cette approche est particulièrement présente dans les vidéos de « Phases », « Une sur mille » et «À bras ouverts ». Trois univers très différents, mais construits autour d'une même idée : raconter une chanson aussi par l'image.

Entre esthétique cinématographique, narration, images contemporaines et partis pris graphiques, les clips deviennent de véritables prolongements visuels des morceaux. « Phases » traduit en images l'énergie et les changements d'état du morceau, tandis que « Une sur mille » développe un univers plus singulier et émotionnel. 

Avec « À bras ouverts », la dimension narrative prend encore davantage de place : le clip transforme le message de la chanson - l'ouverture, l'humanité et la force du lien face à la violence et au rejet - en une histoire portée par des personnages et des situations de vie. 

Cette relation étroite entre musique et image n'est pas un hasard. Elle fait partie de l'ADN d'ALX FARRELL : penser les chansons comme des univers complets, quelque part entre pop, cinéma et narration visuelle.

2026 : L'HISTOIRE CONTINUE

INFINI 
Après ces premières sorties, ALX FARRELL prépare aujourd'hui une nouvelle étape. INFINI réunira pour la première fois, dans un même ensemble, les univers français et allemand d'ALX FARRELL. Les chansons qui le composeront - ainsi que les nouveaux chapitres qui viendront s'y ajouter - restent pour l'instant une surprise.

INFINI prolongera l'histoire de ce songbook retrouvé. Non pas comme une conclusion. Mais comme la suite.
